Modern Eden is proud to introduce Bay Area sculptor, Wesley T. Wright with his debut feature on our Project Wall at the gallery.
There are now no more horizons. And with the dissolution of horizons we have experienced
and are experiencing collisions, terrific collisions, not only of peoples but also of their mythologies.
-Joseph Campbell
Artist Statement: As I try to make sense this exciting and dynamic world that we live in, I draw inspiration from this clash of paradigms. I see the horizons within our natural environment dissolving as well as the ones that stand between human beings and their ideologies. For better or worse, this is all part of our story. In my work I imply a mythology that is informed by our past but is in keeping with our modern circumstances. Some of my symbolism is obvious and others obscure, but all chosen to help process and critique the world around me.
