Modern Eden Gallery is pleased to present UNIVERSE: The Art of Existence, a multi-artist exhibition curated and conceived byWarholian’s founder, Michael Cuffe.
This exhibit brings together artists from San Francisco and beyond on the subject of space, the cosmos, galaxies, celestial bodies, planets, stars, and more. Also explored is the larger outer paradigm of the Universe that relates to things of an atomic scale, such as elements of quantum physics, atoms, and energy streams. Each artist has been encouraged to interpret the Universe itself as either an outer or inner world
Jane Kenoyer is a 2010 University of Nevada, Reno, Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate. Kenoyer is known for her visual artwork and for writing the recent ballet, Shanghaied.
She has shown work at the Roq La Rue Gallery, Stremmel Gallery, and the Sheppard Fine Art Gallery. Her current work of highly detailed portraits reflect real and imagined memories as well as connections to her families’ oral history and story telling. Kenoyer’s great-grandmother Pearl is the origin of why she depicts the female figure in her paintings.
For Kenoyer these connections spill over into the present and ultimately speak to the idea of human experience. She recognizes that these unique memories and moments in time cannot be recreated or replaced, they can only be re-imagined.
She is currently a writer for Hi-Fructose Art Magazine and she is co-owner of OrangeRoom Software. Collectors of her work include internationally known gallery owner Kirsten Anderson.
