Diego Penuela is an award-winning illustrator, background painter and muralist from Bogota, Colombia currently based in Chicago, Illinois.
Diego creates dreamy images influenced by his Latin American identity and his personal experiences as an immigrant and citizen of the world. Additionally Diego has worked in the animation industry as a Background painter and designer for episodic shows like Archer, Hit Monkey, Best fiends and others. His work has earned accolades from publications and organizations like 3x3, Society of Illustrators LA, Latin American Illustration, Red Dot Wards, Addy Awards and regularly exhibits his paintings in galleries.
