Don't Even Breathe

"My name is Kremena Chipilova - an artist who paints primarily in oils. I currently live and work in Tampere, Finland.

I draw inspiration from a variety of sources - from the delicate fantastic beauty and calm mystery of nature, to the fairy and folk tales, myths and legends of mankind.

In my art, I like to include the promise of the supernatural, the encounter of something that is unknown, that attracts and maybe scares us. Sometimes I want to convey a strange feeling of disquiet.

The exploration of these themes in literature captures my imagination and when I am not painting I am, predictably, usually reading books or spending time in nature."
