    • About Home : A group exhibition of reimagined birdhouses. Our participating artists received identical blank birdhouse to customize, paint, sculpt, etc., to create a work of unique expression. A home is generally a place that is close to the heart of the owner, and can become a prized possession. Places like homes can trigger self-reflection, thoughts about who someone is or used to be or who they might become.
    • Catherine E. Moore was born in San Leandro, California, but spent her formative, and awkward, teenage years amidst the neon lights and desert landscape of Reno, Nevada. In between frequenting underground alternative dance clubs, and running with the other “freaks”, she often turned to drawing to feel a sense of connection to the world around her. Art was a constant (and non-judgmental) companion. In 1998, she returned to the Bay Area to pursue her fine arts degree and graduated from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco in 2004.

Influenced by the fairy tales and books of her youth, as well as movies, pop culture, and her study of illustration, Catherine's artwork explores the wonder and beauty of the human experience filtered through imagination and story telling. Most of her paintings are completed in acrylic or oils on wood. Catherine has exhibited in galleries in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Seattle and is currently working on a series of paintings for her upcoming debut solo show at Modern Eden, as well as participating in several group exhibitions.

Catherine lives in San Leandro with her husband, son, and a pitbull named Zelda.
