    • Georgios Georgolios born in 1995 and raised in the german spa town of Baden-Baden he discovered his affinity for art and fashion at an early age. Graduating from school he spent a short time modelling until he commenced his studies at the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University in Frankfurt where he lived and worked from 2016 until 2019 in the notorious Bahnhofsviertel.

It was in 2016 that he first began to execute his ideas in oil, after exclusively working out studies and sketches with graphite on paper. Receiving his first portrait commission the following year a solo exhibition ensued in march 2019, showcasing all works realised up until this point. In 2020 he began working in the atelier of an art restorer and conservator where he specialised on frame restoration and gilding, a practice he continues to carry out and apply to his own creative oeuvre.

Inspiration for his work is taken from everyday life, as well as literature, poetry, music, nature and contemporary fashion:

« Dressing my models in the fashion of today's runways only seemed natural to me, regarding that I've been following designer collections, editorials and fashion campaigns since my early teens and have practical experience in the fashion industry. At an early point I came to wonder what to put my models into. The nude seemed to have been exhausted in painting over the centuries and historical attire would seem admittedly off and pretentious and would also not serve the purpose quite as well.‘ Fashion brands like Valentino and Alexander McQueen are amongst his favourites, notably because the romantic and melancholic undertone in their identity is ‘not too far from where I am and what I aspire to experience further ».

Compositions are dominated by symmetry and inspired by classical figurative painting as well as photography and fashion ads.

He has never received any formal or informal training in art.

Since late 2021 he is living and working in Paris, France.
