Phainopepla and Mistletoe

"This drawing depicts a Phainopepla nest woven with the bird's favorite foods. Phainopeplas are frugivores, eating a fruit-based diet that consists mostly of mistletoe berries." Zoe Keller is an illustrator and graphic designer seeking a deeper understanding of nature through drawing. Since graduating from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland she has explored the many lakes of Minneapolis, the rocky coast of eastern Maine and New York’s sleepy Hudson Valley. She is interested in the intersection of activism, the natural sciences and art making.
